The challenge

Alexander Libor, CHRO at Afileon, faced a complex task: collecting and analyzing people data consistently across many locations, each with its own systems such as Personio, HR Works or DATEV PMS.

Before introducing peopleIX, the central HR team, six people covering HR IT & projects, talent management, HR business partnering, and recruiting & employer branding, worked with manual Excel consolidations to merge data from the different sources.

The biggest challenges:

  • Manual data collection: Data had to be gathered from different local systems, laborious and error-prone.
  • Missing data integrity: Inconsistent and incomplete data made reliable analysis difficult.
  • Slow reporting: Every analysis required many hours of manual work.
  • Lack of transparency: Central and local teams often worked with different data states.
