The challenge
With the growth of Sastrify, Frieda Möcker, Head of People & Culture, is driving the expansion of the company through her people team — with a focus on creating a work environment that has an impact on all levels. With a progressive mindset, she sees HR not only as a supporting function, but as a central driver for achieving corporate goals — through empowerment and data-based decisions.
Frieda describes her people team as the product managers of the Employee Experience — a subscription product that employees “renew” on a monthly basis. In doing so, she consistently transfers principles and methods from areas such as product management and experience design to the area of people & culture.
Their strategy is based on a Product-Led People feature that continuously delivers added value so that employees renew their “subscription” (employment), stay engaged and grow in an effective environment.
Their philosophy is based on three key product principles:
- Think like a scientist Use evidence-based, data-driven approaches and insights to fully understand problems before designing and iteratively improving value-added solutions.
- Maximize mission impact Develop a people experience strategy that is clearly linked to the company mission and focuses on the commercial success of the people function.
- Achieve everything through others Product managers don't directly control the product, but empower others to make it better. The aim is to make managers and employees more accountable and to keep the intervention of the people team as low as possible.
The decision
Frieda is looking for solutions that empower her team to go beyond reactive decisions and fully implement the vision of a Product-Led People function. This is exactly where peopleIX plays a decisive role for them.

The implementation
Frieda and her team worked closely with peopleIX to launch the platform and make their vision of an Employee Health Score a reality. peopleIX focused on developing the exit risk feature based on initial ideas, concepts and impulses from the Sastrify People team.
Two central questions guided development:
- Which indicators are relevant to measure employee health? Personal and team-related information, career development and leadership, satisfaction and commitment, performance and goal achievement.
- How can the collection and tracking of these data points be automated? By consolidating data from various source systems, such as HRIS, ATS, and engagement tools.
The jointly developed Attrition Risk Board bundles all relevant findings and makes it possible to identify risks at an early stage and take targeted countermeasures.
With peopleIX, Sastrify's people sector is moving away from reactive HR processes towards a data-driven, proactive strategy.
Based on insights from peopleIX, Frieda carries out regular check-ins with managers — supported by clear data stories that help with decision-making and coaching.
In this way, people's decisions are not only comprehensible and well-founded, but also geared specifically to corporate goals.
