Summary
With the introduction of peopleIX, d.velop has not only optimized its processes, but also revolutionized the way in which personnel decisions are made in companies.
d.velop with PeopleIX:
- Centralized, reliable data in real time
- Automated reporting for greater efficiency
- Direct insights for faster decisions
It is important to me to support topics, initiatives and measures in the area of personnel with data. PeopleIX makes this easier for me today in a very professional way.
The challenge
When Sebastian Thöring, HR controller at d.velop AG, analyzed the company's HR processes, it quickly became clear that the lack of effective data management led to a fragmented view of the workforce. Although the team used HR systems such as Personio, they manually exported the data and then processed it in Excel — a time-consuming process that often led to errors and delays. Without a centralized and up-to-date view of personnel data, decisions were often reactive and slow.
- Manual reporting bottlenecks:
Creating reports was a time-consuming process that tied up valuable resources and diverted focus from more strategic HR initiatives. - Lack of real-time insights:
Management lacked immediate access to up-to-date data, which slowed down decision-making processes and limited the ability to proactively respond to workforce challenges. - Restricted access and lack of transparency:
The targeted provision of reports with real-time data for managers and employees presented the HR team with major challenges — primarily due to manual processes.
The decision
To solve these challenges, Sebastian was looking for a solution that would centralize data and automate the reporting process. peopleIX offered exactly what d.velop needed: a central platform that could be seamlessly integrated into existing HR systems and provides real-time insights. The decision was clear — PeopleIX should not only make reporting more efficient, but also give the management team direct access to reliable data at any time.
The seamless integration with Personio ensured that data flows effortlessly between systems — and thus laid the foundation for data-driven HR work at d.velop.
The implementation
During the onboarding phase, d.velop collected the requirements of key stakeholders — including the Executive Board, Division Management, People Operations, Recruiting and the Employee Health Team. The goal was clear: to create a central data source (“single source of truth”) that enables complete transparency across the entire employee lifecycle. Central KPIs such as head count development, gender split, internal salary benchmarks, retention figures and recruiting performance should be mapped.
The seamless integration with Personio ensured that data flows effortlessly between systems — creating a stable basis for data-driven HR processes.
“The transition was smoother than expected, and PeopleIX has quickly become an essential tool for our leadership team. ”
The results
The influence of PeopleIX on d.velop AG's people functions was fundamental:
- Centralized, accurate data
All employee data is now bundled in a single platform — the d.velop reports are therefore consistent and reliable. - Efficiency through time savings
The automation of reporting processes has given the HR team a noticeable amount of time — space for strategic issues. - Strengthened leaders
Management now has direct access to real-time insights and can make decisions faster, more informed and proactively. - Increased trust in data
Thanks to the high accuracy and timeliness of the data, trust in HR analyses has grown significantly across the company.
For Sebastian, the flexibility and adaptability of PeopleIX are among the biggest advantages. He was particularly impressed by the platform's sophisticated authorization model: It enables d.velop to specifically control data access on several levels — meaning that every manager only sees the information that is relevant to their role.
What's Next
Looking to the future, Sebastian plans to use PeopleIX's extended features even more intensively — including upcoming features such as predictive analytics and tools for strategic personnel planning. These should help d.velop identify challenges at an early stage, strengthen employee loyalty and align the people strategy even more specifically with corporate goals.
